Producer
With over 40 years’ experience as a producer of plays, pantomimes, musicals and concerts, Robert has presented countless artistes including Elaine Paige, Jane McDonald, Joe Longthorne, Elkie Brooks and Lena Martell. He has produced large-scale variety shows with many stars including Brian Conley, Joe Longthorne, Danny La Rue, Bobby Davro, Dean Park, Andy Stewart, Keith Harris and Orville, Gary Wilmot and The Nolans.

Robert’s theatre shows have starred such actors as Bernie, Linda and Maureen Nolan, Beverly Callard (Coronation Street), Blythe Duff (Taggart), Patsy Palmer (EastEnders), Cheryl Fergison (EastEnders) and Jenny Éclair (Grumpy Old Women). He has given first stage acting opportunities to singers including Carol Decker (T’Pau), Maureen Nolan (The Nolans), Lorraine McIntosh (Deacon Blue) and Brianna Corrigan (Beautiful South). In 2010, with RTÉ Television, Robert co-produced and appeared as head judge in the 10-week RTÉ1 reality television series to find the male and female leads for Fame the Musical, which Robert then toured across Ireland throughout the autumn of that year.

Robert has produced and co-produced many plays and musicals including nine UK and Irish tours of Menopause The Musical, Olivier Award Winning Defending the Caveman, four tours of “The Dolls”, many tours of 51 Shades of Maggie, Whingeing Women, Girls Night the Musical, Dirty Dusting (UK, Ireland Australia and New Zealand), Pam Gem’s Piaf, eleven productions (including a West End run) of the comedy Mum’s the Word, also Mum’s the Word 2 in the UK and Germany, Prunella Scales in Too Far to Walk (London), the musical comedy Always Patsy Cline (UK and Australia), It’s Wine O’Clock across Ireland and many many more shows lost in the mists of time and alcohol.

Robert created Menopause the Musical 2 sequel to the worldwide hit Menopause the Musical. His sequel is now touring across the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada and is soon to be seen in Australia and New Zealand.

Across his long career, Robert has produced over 40 pantomimes. He has just signed another five-year deal to continue presenting pantomime at the University Concert Hall in Limerick, Ireland.

In 2027 Robert will be presenting the hit US show Late Night Catechism across separate productions in Ireland, Scotland and England, another “final” tour of Menopause the Musical 2 ahead of the 2028 launch of Menopause the Musical 3 which Robert and his team have begun writing. The show shall initially tour the UK and Ireland before heading across the Atlantic. New productions of Defending the Caveman and Liberace and Liza shall also follow.

Robert has also created Segue for Producers, a software programme to manage the producers’ office function. His software is now being used by companies large and small including some of the UK’s biggest touring and West End producers.
